Boulder County Kids Magazine was established in 1995 as a free, local resource for families and children across Boulder County, Colorado. My business partner and I acquired the publication in 2021 and continue to grow the local platform.

2023 goal: increase audience and ad sales while retaining reader base and loyal advertisers.

2023 result: 23% increase in digital publication reach and 29% increase in advertising sales.

I redesigned the 20-year-old website to cater to modern parents, boosted SEO efforts on our high-traffic pages, established a page for our digital issue to live rather than on our vendor's platform, introduced display advertising options, and linked everything online to the print publication using QR codes.
